Good Night’s Sleep Guarantee

For more than 60 years, Mountain Equipment has developed clothing and equipment trusted in the world’s high places and Polar regions. Our sleeping bags have been used everywhere from valley campsites and alpine bivies to 8000m peaks and Antarctic journeys. This has resulted in an unsurpassed amount of data and feedback from experienced users who rely on their bags for comfort and safety.

As a result of exhaustive expedition testing, field trials, and scientific testing, we provide a separate “Good Night’s Sleep Temperature” rating for every sleeping bag in our range. Our Good Night’s Sleep rating is an indication of the minimum temperature that we feel the bag should be comfortable for an experienced user.

This is in addition to the standardised temperature ratings, generated by ISO 23537, that you are used to seeing and result in the Comfort, Comfort Limit, and Extreme temperatures.

Our “Good Night’s Sleep Guarantee” allows you to upgrade your sleeping bag to a warmer one, only paying the difference between the bag you purchased originally and one you’d like to upgrade to*.

*T&Cs: The guarantee is only valid within 30 days of purchase. It is the responsibility of the customer to return the sleeping bag to the retail store from which it was purchased and to pay any difference in cost between their existing sleeping bag and the one they wish to upgrade to.
