    The Istap Jacket is a robust 3-layer waterproof shell made from DRILITE® XT with a durable ripstop face fabric, offering reliable protection, efficient ventilation through its nanoporous membrane, and all-day comfort for walkers and trekkers who want a little more from their kit. The Mountain HC (helmet compatible) Hood, articulated fit, and dependable zip configuration make it a trustworthy outer layer when the weather turns.

    This limited “Hard to Find” fabric run delivers the same proven performance and protection you would expect from our more technical shells, with an “all you need and nothing you don’t” feature set designed for varied mountain conditions.

    Materials

    • Waterproof, windproof and breathable: 3-layer DRILITE® XT 40 Denier ripstop fabric with a nanoporous membrane and DWR treatment that will keep you dry
    • Hydrostatic Head: 20,000mm for the highest water resistance levels
    • Nanoporous membrane with 10 billion nanopores per square inch for excellent breathability
    • Ripstop woven fabric is strong, lightweight, and tear-resistant
    • 15mm taped seams prevent water entry

    Patterning & Design

    • Protective but breathable design with excellent mobility and comfort
    • Using our classic ‘Alpine Fit’ for complete freedom of movement without excess fabric
    • Sized to be worn as part of a layering system
    • Tailoring around the arms improves mobility with no excess fabric or hem lift whilst reaching on steeper ground
    • Underarm core body zips with internal flaps allow extra ventilation when required

    Hood Configuration

    • Mountain HC Hood is helmet compatible, highly protective, and fully adjustable with both front and rear volume reduction when required
    • Laminated and wired hood visor maintains field of vision even in high winds and more severe conditions

    Pocket Configuration

    • 2 large, zipped hand pockets are positioned to be accessible when wearing a pack
    • YKK® water-resistant front zips with zip pullers are easy to use with gloves
    • Pockets offer additional ventilation when open

    Centre Front Zip

    • Full-length YKK® centre front zip with internal storm flap is easy to use in bad weather
    • Ergonomic zip puller makes use easier when wearing gloves or mitts

    Cuffs & Sleeves Configuration

    • Articulated and pre-shaped sleeves for ease of movement on steep ground
    • Velcro adjustable cuffs for a comfortable and protective fit around wrists or over gloves

    Waist & Hem Construction

    • Internal dual tether hem drawcords for easy fit adjustment
    • Bar tack reinforcement on the pull tab

    Washing

    • Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C using liquid detergent or specialist cleaner.

    • Tumble dry on a low heat with a slow spin speed.
    • Or line dry, then use a cool iron* to reactivate the DWR.

    *Place a thin cloth between the garment and the iron. Do not iron zips, zip edges or logos.
