    The Xenith Jacket project was kick-started in 2023 when our R+D team read an academic paper that suggested hexagonal baffles may be more thermally efficient than the traditional straight-sided design. We conducted our own extensive research, with the bulk of the work being in finding the absolute optimum fill weight and down density for each baffle. 

    As well as being warmer, Hex baffles were found to offer more weather resistance, faster drying times, fewer cold spots, and reduced down migration through the jacket’s life. Cold chamber and real-world testing in the mountains confirmed that the Xenith offers exceptional performance for its minimal weight and pack size, a marked step up from narrow baffle jackets of comparable weight.

    Beyond the Xenith’s baffles are the familiar features that make our down jackets reliable partners whether you’re trekking, climbing, or ski-touring. An insulated Mountain HC Hood with EXL stitching works with or without a helmet, and internal drop pockets keep spare gloves or other accessories warm.
